Biography

Fredrick Lusuli Ikana, popularly known as Fred Ikana, was born in 1986 and built a career in finance, management, and business before entering politics. He served as Group CEO of Centsavvy Group from 2008 to 2022.

Alongside his professional career, Ikana studied for a Management Degree, with a focus on Leadership and Management, at St. Paul University between 2018 and 2022.

In 2022, Ikana entered elective politics, contesting the Shinyalu parliamentary seat. He campaigned on a promise of fresh and transformative leadership.

Running on the Amani National Congress (ANC) ticket, he defeated incumbent MP Justus Kizito Mugali and former Shinyalu MP Silverse Anami Lisamula to win the seat with 17,696 votes.

Ikana began serving as Shinyalu’s Member of Parliament in the 13th Parliament in August 2022.
